Vivah Muhurat rules used on this page

  • Kharmas is closed: no marriage while the Sun is in Dhanu (Sagittarius) or Meena (Pisces) (16 December 2026 – 14 January 2027, 15 March 2027 – 14 April 2027 and 16 December 2027 – 15 January 2028).
  • Chaturmas is closed: from the moment Devshayani Ekadashi begins (13 July 2027, 12:09 PM) to the moment Devuthani Ekadashi begins (9 November 2027, 7:35 AM).
  • An adhika month is closed: there is no adhika month in 2027.
  • Guru and Shukra must be clear of the Sun: no marriage while Jupiter is within 11° of the Sun or Venus within 10° (8° while retrograde) — the classical combustion (asta) orbs.
  • Nakshatra: the Moon in one of the eleven vivah nakshatras — Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati.
