Free online Janam Kundli
A date of birth starts the calculation, but an accurate Vedic birth chart also needs the time and place. Together they fix the Lagna, twelve houses and exact planetary positions for the moment you were born.
Enter your name, birth date, recorded birth time and birth city. The name labels the result; it does not change the chart. The date sets the planetary day, while time and place determine the horizon and houses.
The result gives you D1 Rashi and D9 Navamsa charts, Lagna, Moon sign, Nakshatra, all twelve houses, exact Graha positions, your current Vimshottari period and the yogas formed in the chart. It is calculated on this page, and your birth details are not saved.
A chart is not a list of fixed future events. Traditional timing adds Vimshottari dasha, transits and divisional charts, then compares them with the whole birth chart. No single placement should be interpreted alone.
Start with the result in order. Read the Lagna first because it sets every house, then the Moon sign and Nakshatra, then the planets by house. The twelve-house guide explains what each bhava represents. For marriage compatibility, compare two complete charts with Kundli matching; do not try to infer a relationship from one chart.
Before reading houses one by one
Classical astrology reads the twelve houses in groups before reading any of them alone. The group tells you how much weight a placement carries and what kind of result it tends to give. Read the twelve-house guide for each bhava's domain, karaka and traditional body association.
The four angles: self, home and roots, partnership, and public work. They are the pillars of the chart. A planet standing in one of them acts on the visible, outer shape of a life rather than only on the inner experience of it.
The trines: self, what you create and think, and fortune or guidance. Tradition treats these as the supportive houses, where what you already carry is given room. The first house is both a kendra and a trikona, which is why it is read first.
The difficult houses: conflict, debt and illness (6); upheaval and what lies outside your control (8); loss, expense and withdrawal (12). They describe friction, not a sentence. The sixth is also where discipline and service are rewarded, and the twelfth is where rest, retreat and life abroad are read.
A technical label from longevity work and nothing else. Calling a house a maraka does not predict harm to anyone; it marks the houses the classical texts consult when timing the end of a period, and it is only meaningful inside that method.
Lagna and Moon sign
The Lagna is read first, and the descriptions below are written for it. The Moon sign is read the same way, one layer inward: the Lagna is how you meet the world, the Moon sign is how you take it in. Each description speaks to someone with that sign, so read the one your chart gave as Lagna, then the one it gave as Moon sign.
You are wired to start things. When an idea lights you up, you move first and figure out the details on the way. People feel your energy the moment you walk in — direct, warm, a little restless, and impatient with anything that feels slow or fake. You would rather try and stumble than wait and wonder.
You are steady the way the earth is steady. You move slowly, decide carefully, and once you commit you stay. People trust you because what you say today will still be true next year. You love beauty, comfort, good food, music, and the quiet pleasure of building something that lasts.
Your mind is fast, curious, and never quite at rest. You read, talk, listen, scroll, and connect dots between things other people would never see together. Conversation is oxygen to you. You can charm almost anyone within ten minutes because you genuinely find people interesting.
You feel everything. A room's mood lands in your body the moment you enter, and you carry other people's emotions like they are your own. Behind a soft, sometimes shy exterior is a deep loyalty — once someone is yours, family or chosen, you protect them fiercely for life.
You were born to be seen. Warmth radiates out of you, you speak with natural authority, and you genuinely enjoy lifting other people up — especially the underdog. You take loyalty very seriously, you laugh loud, and a part of you always wants the room to remember you walked in.
Your mind notices. The crooked frame, the wrong word, the small inefficiency — you see it instantly, and a part of you wants to fix it. You are humble, hard-working, and most comfortable being useful. Your standards for yourself are much higher than the ones you hold others to, which is both your gift and your trap.
You are designed for harmony. Beauty soothes you, ugly environments hurt you, and you have a real talent for making people on opposite sides feel heard. You weigh every choice carefully, sometimes too carefully, because you genuinely see all sides — and that is a rare gift.
You feel deeply and see through people. Surface conversations bore you; you want the real story underneath. You hold immense willpower — when you decide something, almost nothing can stop you. People sense your intensity even before you speak, and that magnetism is both your shield and your secret weapon.
You are a seeker. You want the bigger picture, the meaning, the philosophy, the far horizon. You are honest sometimes to a fault, optimistic even on bad days, and you make friends across cultures and continents because you treat strangers like long-lost siblings.
You are serious in a world that often isn't. You carry weight that other people would crumble under, you plan for the long term while others chase the moment, and you respect work, structure, and time. Behind the calm, controlled face is a surprisingly dry, sharp sense of humour that few people get to see.
You think for yourself. You don't follow the crowd because the crowd often feels obviously wrong to you, and that has been true since you were a child. You care about humanity in the abstract more easily than about one needy individual in front of you. You are friendly with many, intimate with few.
You are porous. You absorb feelings, atmospheres, music, art, suffering, beauty — all of it goes straight through your skin. You are deeply compassionate, imaginative, and naturally spiritual; the invisible world is as real to you as the visible one. People feel safe telling you their secrets.
Understanding the result
Your Lagna, or rising sign, is the sign coming over the eastern horizon at birth. It sets the first house and changes the structure of the whole chart.
The Moon sign is commonly used for emotional needs, habits and daily Rashi forecasts. It is different from the current Moon transit shown on the homepage.
The Moon's Nakshatra divides the zodiac into 27 smaller sectors. It is used in names, dashas, matching and many timing traditions.
The 12 houses organize life areas such as self, family, work, relationships and learning. A useful reading looks at the sign, house lord and planets together.
A single planet or house cannot decide an entire life area. Treat this chart as a structured way to explore patterns, then compare it with your real circumstances and choices.
Your rising sign and house positions move through the day. Even a small time difference can change the chart, especially near a sign boundary.
Start typing any city worldwide and pick it from the list. The chart is calculated from that place's exact coordinates and timezone, so choose your real birth place rather than a nearby one.
The free result gives the chart foundation: Lagna, Moon sign, Nakshatra, houses and planets. A full reading also studies dashas, yogas, divisional charts and current transits together.
The date locates the planets for that day, but a complete Kundli also needs the exact birth time and place. Those details calculate the Lagna and twelve houses; without them the birth chart is incomplete.
A birth chart describes traditional patterns, not fixed events. Timing work compares dashas and transits with the entire chart, and no single planet, house or online score can determine an outcome.
