Mole Meaning Checker
In Samudrik Shastra, the Indian folk tradition of reading the body, a mole (til) is read as a small sign of temperament and fortune, and a mole on a man's right side or a woman's left side is called favourable. Tap the place of your mole on the map below to read the tradition's meaning. It is tradition, not science: show a changing mole to a dermatologist. Our Hindi guide til ka matlab explains more.

The tradition. Read as a sensitive, emotional nature; some lists add advice to manage spending. By Samudrik tradition's side rule (the right side for a man, the left for a woman), a mole here is read as favourable for a woman.
These meanings are folk tradition, not science: no study shows that a mole predicts anything, and books and families give the same mole different meanings. Most of them circle common themes such as money, travel and temperament, which is why they so often feel true.
Health. A mole is skin first. Show a dermatologist any mole that changes in size, shape or colour, has uneven or blurred edges or several colours, is wider than 6 mm, itches, bleeds or will not heal, or appears suddenly in adulthood (the ABCDE check). Never cut, burn or use a removal cream at home, and no tradition says removing a mole changes your luck.

The most common rule in Samudrik tradition is that a mole on a man's right side and on a woman's left side is favourable, and a mole on the other side is often read as a call for care. Moles in the middle of the body (the centre of the forehead, the tip of the nose, the chin, the navel) have no side, so the rule does not apply.
Some old lists tie certain moles on women to bad predictions about marriage or health. Those spread fear and have no evidence, so this checker does not repeat them.

Mole Meaning Checker FAQ
Is a mole on the face lucky?
In Samudrik tradition most face moles are read for temperament and money, and a mole on a man's right side or a woman's left side is called favourable. It is folk belief; no mole decides a future.
What does a mole above the lip mean?
The tradition links it with an attractive personality, a love of beauty and sweet speech: the "beauty spot".
What does a mole on the left cheek mean for a woman?
Tradition reads it as a sensitive, emotional nature, and by the side rule a woman's left side is the favourable one.
How do I choose right or left on the map?
On the face and the front of the body the figure faces you, so its right side is on your left. On the back view, its right is on your right.
Which moles should a doctor see?
Any mole that changes in size, shape or colour, is wider than 6 mm, has several colours or uneven edges, itches, bleeds, or appears suddenly in adulthood. Show it to a dermatologist.
Does removing a mole change your luck?
No tradition says so. If you want a mole removed for another reason, have a dermatologist do it; cutting or burning one at home is dangerous.
