The day a child was born
Asked. When you add it to your life events you confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian. We keep the date and nothing else, and delete it with the event, the family member or your account.
Privacy
The consent step this page describes is not in use today. It was designed for paid reports about someone under eighteen: you would confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian before we kept such a report, and without that we would keep it for 24 hours only. The reports on sale do not ask the question, so a report about a child is kept like any other report — for 90 days, in your account — and none of the design below happens yet. The one place we ask a parent or guardian to confirm anything today is the day a child was born on your own life events. The privacy policy sets out every place a child's details can be kept.
Asked. When you add it to your life events you confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian. We keep the date and nothing else, and delete it with the event, the family member or your account.
Not asked. Their birth details are kept until you remove them from your family or delete your account.
Not asked. It is kept like any report: 90 days from when it was made, in your account, then deleted, and erased at once if you delete your account.
Not asked, because nothing is stored: the baby-name finder and the rashi calculators keep nothing on our servers.
“I am this person's parent or legal guardian, and I consent to Swarn Siddhi keeping their birth details so that this report can be re-opened.” You would choose parent or guardian; there is no third answer, because those are the two the law names.
Only for a report whose subject is under eighteen, worked out from the date of birth entered, and only on an account you have signed in to.
Who made the statement (the account, and whether parent or guardian); about whom (a one-way fingerprint of the child's name and birth moment, not a second copy of them); for what (keeping that report so it can be re-opened); and when it was given and, if it is, withdrawn. It would be an attestation, not an identity check: we have no way to verify that you are the parent.
The report would still be made and delivered, kept for 24 hours so you could read, download or print it, and then erased, with nothing filed against your account.
Withdrawing it would delete every stored report it allowed — the record we hold and the document itself — in one step, and deleting your account would do the same.
Delete the life event, remove the child from your family, or delete your account; each removes what it covers at once.
Write to lapaasindia@gmail.com from the address your account uses about anything else, such as a report made on a child’s chart, and we will delete it.
